Finally I had my own camera, and anybody around me certainly knew that fact. Blue came with me every where I went, to school, concerts, vacations; whenever and wherever I left the house to go, I had my camera on me at all times. It really helped me understand today why people suggest you never make excuses but simply go out and shoot. Expensive equipment be damned, if you can't get the shot now then you suck it up and get it when you can, but never stop shooting for reasons related to equipment.
My old Sony lasted me about three good years before I finally upgraded to a Canon T2i and started taking photography courses. At the end of the day it was those 3 years that I'm particularly grateful for, as they allowed me to see photography as being a viable option for my future, whether completely encompassing my life or at the very least playing a big role.
